End of Two Eras; Steelers GM Going Out With Big Ben
Kevin Colbert always had the feel that once Big Ben went he would go with him. Now, it's looking to come true. Colbert will get the Ozzie Newsome treatment and go out with one final draft.
I like that. Hope he goes balls to the wall. Leaves nothing left behind. Trades up where he sees fit. Leaves the team better off. I think he will. What a run for Colbert, though. He was the director of football ops for the Steelers from 2000-2010 helping orchestrate the rosters who brought home two Lombardi trophies and drafted the likes of Troy Polamalu, Big Ben Roethlisberger, Casey Hampton, Maurkice Pouncey, Antonio Brown, the list goes on and on. Been with his hometown team for over twenty years and brought it back to the glory he grew up with. Tip of the cap to KC.
Now the Steelers will be faced with finding their next generation's QB and GM. Hopefully Colbert's final act will be lending a heavy hand in helping the Steelers take care of the first issue come this spring.
